A visually spectacular annual event in the heart of the Mighty Waikato since 1999, Balloons Over Waikato captivates hearts and minds and brings colour to our skies with a five-day festival of vibrant morning ascensions, culminating in the mesmerising ZURU Nightglow.   

Hamilton Airport’s commitment to the community aligns perfectly with the spirit of Balloons Over Waikato, which connects families, friends, and visitors to gather and embrace the colourful spectacle of the balloons, unique in New Zealand.   Through our legacy sponsorship, we aim to further enhance the event's impact, enabling the organisers to create even more magical experiences and cherished memories for everyone involved.
