We're delighted to welcome Ben Langley to our team as Group General Manager - Airport Operations.

Most recently chief executive at Ardmore Flying School in Auckland, Ben has enjoyed an aviation career spanning 15 years in both strategic and operational management and leadership roles.
His skills include strategy, operations, change management, health & safety, human resources, legal, financial governance and business development, with a strong employee and customer focus.

Since gaining his commercial pilot license in 2008, Ben has held several senior flying and ground-based roles, from instructing and operations in Christchurch, to an aviation leadership and training role at Nelson Marlborough Institute and his own consulting and project management company in Wellington.

He worked as a commercial pilot for Sounds Air before becoming head of training at Ardmore and progressing through to general manager and finally chief executive.
Prior to the commencement of his aviation career, Ben held senior leadership roles across varying sectors, including tourism, hospitality, entertainment, FMCG and education.

“I’ve been privileged to have been part of such an engaging, challenging and exciting industry, and I’m now looking forward to an opportunity to utilise the skills I’ve developed as part of the Waikato Regional Airport team,” he says.

Chief Executive of Waikato Regional Airport Ltd (WRAL), Mark Morgan, is pleased to welcome Ben to the senior management team.

Ben joins us at an exciting period of growth across the Group, and the skills and experience he brings to the table will help hone and implement our future strategic direction,” he says.

On a personal note, Ben has a fiancée who works in the Health and Safety team at a larger airport. He is into running, football and horse trekking and he and his partner have a large fur family including two cats, two dogs and two horses!
