A number of rental car agencies operate customer service stands within the Hamilton Airport terminal.

Hamilton Taxis
Hamilton Taxis has a dedicated taxi rank at the main entrance of the Airport. You are able to walk off your plane into one of their taxis. Hamilton Taxi also offers a pick-up and drop off service to Hamilton Airport.

Uber
Use the Uber app to book a ride.
Whether you're going from Hamilton Airport to the city or Auckland Airport to Hamilton, count on Uber to get you there. Exit the terminal and follow the signs to Rideshare pick-up zone outside the arrivals lounge.

Parking reminder
We use licence plate recognition (LPR) technology in our car park to ensure an easy and relaxing parking experience for our customers.
- Arrivals: when you arrive at the airport our system will automatically read your licence plate and the barrier arm will open. You won’t receive a ticket. Remember your licence plate number as you’ll need it later.
- Departures: after you’ve collected your bags, please pay at the Pay Station outside the terminal. Enter your licence plate number and follow the onscreen instructions. Then head to the exit barrier which will automatically open to allow exit.
If you booked online, you can drive straight to the exit barrier without visiting the pay stations – our system will match your licence plate number with your booking and the exit barrier will open.

South from Hamilton City:
- Follow State Highway 1 towards Cambridge.Take the Tamahere turn-off, and at the 1st roundabout take the 3rd exit, which takes you under the main road.
- Drive straight through the 2nd roundabout, heading west onto Airport Rd.
- Follow Airport Rd and the signs to Hamilton Airport, which is situated on the right-hand side approximately 4.8kms from the Tamahere turn-off.
South West from Hamilton City:
- Take State Highway 3 along Ohaupo Rd towards Te Awamutu.
- Follow the airport signs along Ohaupo Rd out of the city and through Rukuhia until you come to the junction of State Highway 3 and State Highway 21 (approximately 3.8kms from Rukuhia).
- Turn left at the junction into Airport Rd (State Highway 21) and Hamilton Airport is approximately 1.8kms along Airport Rd on the left hand side.
Situated on Airport Rd on State Highway 21, Hamilton Airport is conveniently located 20 minutes south of Hamilton City’s CBD (14kms).
Servicing the greater Waikato region, the airport is approximately 20 minutes from Cambridge and Te Awamutu, 40 minutes from Otorohanga, 60 minutes from Rotorua and 90 minutes from Tauranga.
