What do you think of our beautiful refurbished space?
Our refurbished terminal is open! We believe we have created a modern, beautiful and functional terminal that celebrates our status as gateway to the Mighty Waikato and beyond.
The refurbishment portion of the project involved the installation of some beautiful cultural art pieces from local Maaori artists.
The vast majority of the Terminal Resilience Project cost was for the requisite strengthening of the building - while we were doing this strengthening work, we took the opportunity to refresh the space, which had become quite tired. It also made sense to rebrand Hamilton Airport at the same time. The entire Terminal Resilience project was self-funded by the airport company.
